There will be enough programs for each
person in class (with a few extra seats). If there are no
open programs when you attempt to register, check back later
in the day or the next day. We don't put all of the programs
up at once and sometimes we overlook that the programs have
filled. To avert any problems, however, sign up early and
do not skip your program because there is NO GUARANTEE that
you will find space on another day/time. If all of the programs
on the web site are full or if you have a problem, contact
Tamaira Quezada, the RRP Program Coordinator: racerelationsproject@psu.edu
HOW DO I GET CREDIT FOR AN RRP PROGRAM?
You receive points toward your final
grade when you complete an RRP program. To receive these
points you must fill out a grade sheet that will be given
to you by the RRP facilitators at the end of each program.
We will submit this grade sheet to your instructor.
DO I HAVE TO REGISTER FOR AN RRP
PROGRAM THAT I PLAN TO ATTEND?
Yes, you must register for a program
before you attend -- even if it is at the last minute.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO MISS A PROGRAM
FOR WHICH I AM REGISTERED?
If you cannot attend a program for
which you have registered, remove yourself from the list
by signing onto the registration page and going to the “My
Sessions” section and click “unscheduled”
link. But remember, there are a limited number of seats
available for your class. So you may NOT be able to make
it up.
WHAT IF I AM LATE TO AN RRP PROGRAM
(OR HAVE TO LEAVE EARLY)?
If you arrive more than 10 minutes
late to the program, points will be deducted from your total
point score for your grade. In addition, we will ask you
to register for another session. There are no option for
points deducted.
WHERE ARE THE ROOMS FOR RRP GROUPS?
Most groups are located in either the
Sackett Building (on the mall between Willard Building and
College Avenue), the Thomas Building (on the corner of Shortlidge
Road and Pollack Road), in Oswald Tower (the 10 story tower
located behind the Burrowes Building and across Pollack
Road from Old Main), or in Borland Lab (near the Creamery).
If you need more detailed information,
consult a campus map: www.campusmaps.psu.edu/print
WHAT IF I HAVE ALREADY DONE AN RRP
PROGRAM FOR ANOTHER CLASS?
Every conversation is different. So
if you have the opportunity to experience an RRP program
more than once, you’ll have the benefit of taking
another step into the issues and learning more than you
did the first time—by hearing the views of a new group
of participants and hearing your own responses to new questions
and scenarios that arise in the conversation.
So you may have more than one instructor
that requires you to participate with the RRP—and
you must attend each of those programs. You cannot use one
group experience to fulfill the requirement for another—just
like you cannot a paper from one class to fulfill the requirements
for another.
